  1. Application

Products to be applied shall be stacked on a level surface without pallets being placed on top of each other until the installation process is complete. They shall be covered with a waterproof material that provides adequate ventilation. The contractor shall ensure that materials stored on site are protected from various damages and harmful substances (dust, dirt, chemicals, etc.). If damage or defects are observed in materials stored without complying with the above provisions, the contractor shall replace them with new ones at no additional cost to the employer and manufacturer. Before the flooring installation, the existing concrete surface shall be cleaned of dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. During the application process and for 48 hours after application, the ambient temperature shall not fall below +5º C.

  2. Floor Mortar
When preparing the mortar, TS EN 197-1 PÇ 42.5 Portland Cement, TS 706 EN 12620/AC, TS 2717 EN 13139 washed and screened natural sand, and TS 266 clean water free of harmful substances shall be used. The prepared mixture will be mixed using a mortar mixing machine with a vertical mixer. The resulting 300-350 dose lightly moistened mortar will be placed on the floor concrete in at least 3 and at most 5 piles, depending on the length of the step, with a minimum thickness of 2.50 cm and a maximum thickness of 5.00 cm, on the ground where the elevation has been determined. During this process, the slurry formed from the prepared cement-water mixture will be poured over the piles of mortar.
  3. Installation

The steps shall be installed using rubber mallets, with a maximum slope of 2 mm from the front edge, without being left to rest on the floor mortar. If two steps are placed side by side, installation shall be carried out with a 3 mm joint, ensuring the slope and level are maintained. The surface of the installed step will be cleaned of any remaining cement and mortar residue using a damp cloth or non-damaging brushes. Depending on weather conditions, it is recommended that the finished product be soaked for 4 days and covered with plastic to allow curing.

  4. Grout Filling
After installation is complete, wait 2-4 days, depending on weather conditions, for the installation mortar to dry. The grout gaps at the joints between the steps and risers will be filled with grout prepared in a color matching the product. After the process is complete, any joint filler material that has gotten on the surface should be cleaned immediately. Areas where joint filling has been performed will be covered with plastic after final cleaning and protected until delivery. Once the installation has been completed properly and the required waiting period has been completed, the surface of the steps will be cleaned with Arabic soap and water.
